About Study Programme

The Mathematics Department is one of the majors under the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Andalas University, which was established on March 5, 1996. The first batch of students was accepted in the 1996/1997 academic year. In the early years of its establishment, there was only one Undergraduate Mathematics Study Program (Prodi) under the Mathematics Department. Then in 2009, a Bachelor of Computer Systems Study Program was established which was also under the auspices of the Mathematics Department. In 2012, the Bachelor of Computer Systems Study Program switched positions to become one of the study programs under the auspices of the Unand Faculty of Information Technology. Since 2013, the Mathematics Masters (S2) Study Program, which was previously under the Unand Postgraduate Program, has been shifted to a position under the Mathematics Department. Currently the Mathematics Undergraduate Study Program has received A accreditation from BAN-PT which is valid until October 20, 2021 based on BAN-PT Decree No. 2515/SK/BAN-PT/Akred/S/X/2016.
