The Department of Mathematics and Data Science, through the Entrepreneurship course, held a guest lecture on Friday, September 16, 2022. In this guest lecture, apart from Sis Tika, there was also Ms. Angel who discussed: How do sociopreneurs apply a social approach to their business? Does Sociopreneur also mean Social Activity? Does that mean a sociopreneur is like a non-profit institution?
Students as part of the social community are very much awaited. Therefore, students of entrepreneurship courses need to be familiar with sociopreneurship. Sociopreneurs are individuals who try to solve social problems with an entrepreneurial approach. In another sense, a sociopreneur is someone who establishes a business for the mission of social benefit. This goal is what distinguishes sociopreneurs from entrepreneurs in general. Generally, sociopreneurs have high social sensitivity so they feel anxious when they see social problems experienced by the community and are triggered to find solutions to these problems.
