Becoming a Reputable Undergraduate Study Program in Theoretical Mathematics and Applications at the Southeast Asian Level in 2028.

The Mission of Undergraduate Programme

To realize this vision, four missions of the Mathematics Undergraduate Program at Andalas University have been set, namely:

1. Organizing quality and sustainable academic education.
2. Conducting theoretical and applied mathematical research activities.
3. Devoting expertise in the field of mathematics to the community.
4. Utilizing productive and sustainable collaboration with educational institutions, government, and business at the regional, national, and international levels, which Andalas University has established.

The Objectives of Undergraduate Programme

To realize the vision and carry out the mission, the objectives of the Mathematics Undergraduate Study Program (Program Objective / PO) have been set, namely to produce Bachelor of Mathematics Degrees who:

1. Reputable in the field of theoretical mathematics and able to apply it in solving related problems.
2. Able to continue studies or work in the field of mathematics or other related fields.
3. Adaptive in following the development of science and technology and skilled in computational mathematics and statistics.
4. Have character and responsibility as lifelong learners.

To become a competitive postgraduate Mathematics Study Program at the Southeast Asian level in 2028.

The Mission of Master's Programme

1. Organizing quality, effective and efficient education.
2. Organizing both basic and applied mathematics research activities to support the advancement of science and technology.
3. Devoting research results in the field of mathematics for the welfare of society.
4. Utilize productive and sustainable collaboration with educational institutions, government, and business at the regional, national, and international levels that have been established by the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences and Andalas University.

The Objectives of Master's Programme

1. Generating competitive graduates.
2. Generating research outputs for international publications.
3. Improving the implementation of mathematical research results for the welfare of society.
4. The breadth of the cooperation network to support the activities of the Tridharma of Higher Education
